Deeds of Love
Not one of us, even with the best of his deeds, can stand before God, before His holy countenance; and nothing about us can come near what God expects and wants of us. But this must not stop us from doing what God wants. The example of the servants shows us plainly that we must only do but do thoroughly what God has given us gifts for, and that this is expected of us in full measure and faithful execution.
What else can all our doing be but complete love that we love God above everything and show complete love for all men in what we do, In our works, our actions, we must not pass up love, and we therefore want to ask God that with alert senses and eyes and hearts we may leave no deeds of love undone, and that we work hard and faithfully to use every ability and leave no deeds of love undone; for this we ask.

Das Tun der Liebe
Keiner von uns wird auch mit dem besten Tun vor Gott bestehen können, vor einem heiligen Angesicht, und nichts von uns kann an das ran kommen, was Gott von uns erwartet und haben will. Das kann uns aber nicht abhalten, das zu tun was Gott will und gerade das Beispiel von den Knechten zeigt uns deutlich, dass wir ja nur das tun sollen, aber das ganz tun, was Gott an Gaben in uns gelegt hat, und dass das von uns in vollem Masse und treuer Ausführung erwartet wird.
Und was kann alles Tun anderes sein, als die völlige Liebe, dass wir Gott über alle Dinge lieben und in unserem Tun allen Menschen die völlige Liebe beweisen. Wir sollen in unseren Werken, in unserem Tun die Liebe nicht versäumen und darum wollen wir Gott bitten, dass wir mit wachen Sinnen und mit wachen Augen und mit wachen Herzen nichts im Tun der Liebe versäumen möchten und dass wir mit treuem Fleiss und Anwendung aller Gaben nichts im Tun der Liebe versäumen möchten, darum (bitten wir …)
